Fabia VRS battery drain

Featured Replies

Have a problem with my 2005 Fabia VRS keep draining the battery over about 5-7 days its completly flat and everything is dead even the dash!!

Its had a NEW battery but still keeps draining

its reads 150ma drain then after 30 mins drops down to 50ma so i assume this is CCU going into sleep mode

and the only fuse that seems to have any significant drop is the cruise control fuse 28 (also brake and clutch switch) it then drops to about 30ma

ive mutlmetered the clutch switch and it works and also brake light works so that must be ok? and car doesnt have cruise control ?

please help need to get car back on the road asap and really dont know else to do or try any ideas??

Did you get anywhere with this?

I've got a 1.9td (ATD) that's doing the same, on my 3rd battery in a year. Charges fine, no glovebox light & the boot light doesn't stay on. Lasts 3 days max before it needs bump starting again but once it's been out even for 5 minutes it's fine again?!

You doing short journeys? Could be the little send wire that snaps under front bumper.

Ahh never heard about this before? It does only do short journeys to be fair though.

Any idea where I should be looking?
