Loads in and around Sheffield depends which part you are in.

I would recommend Grant and Mcallin nr Beighton.

I've been pleased with the service I've had at Autohaus Dolby in Sheffield (located near Sheffield Arena).

Give Matt a call, he knows his stuff when it comes to VAG cars.

Highly recommend N and S auto services in Wakefield, they are a Jaguar specialist but they look after our Roomster for everything and the Superb for all but servicing whilst its under warranty. Been going for a few years, you get great service at a reasonable price.

Thanks for the recommendations guys, much appreciated.

Just called Autohaus Dolby (cos it's the nearest) and got a quote of £296 for cambelt, waterpump, coolant etc using genuine parts.

That plus the full service at £149 comes to just short of £450 inc vat.

Does that sound about right?

It seems a good price.

Here's an old thread on which some prices are discussed:

The skoda fixed price mentioned in the thread above has expired now, the current dealer prices can be found here (£449 for cambelt and water pump):

and here for SEAT (£478):

Excellent. That's good to hear as I'm taking my Fabia there on Tuesday.

It will be in good hands don't worry.

Thought I'd post my findings as too many of these type of threads are left with no conclusion.

if you dont want to go to a main dealer, Tim at volkstech in dronfield is good.

I also take mine to Autohaus. Took both my cars there, they've been top notch.

Service form Autohaus Dolby was great. The car seems much more 'peppy' and smoother running now, and I'm sure MPG would be better, if I didn't keep putting my foot down!

I just got my cam belt and water pump done for £180
