is the black magic used on the vrs the same as vw diamond black??

I want to spray the chrome grill surround. halfords have no skoda black but looking at their book it looks the same as vw diamond black.

You could just go to a Skoda dealer and order a genuine rattle can which comes supplied with a can of laquer for around a tenner IIRC

+1 on this. At least you'll be sure it'll match, and for gawds sake don't get halfords mixed on site stuff- I got some (not) race blue metalic and I found out later it was more expensive than the genuine stuff too

My Audi is Phantom black metallic, my fabia was skoda black magic metallic.

The fleck in the Audi paint is much finer than it was in the skoda paint.

So I'd imagine the VW variant to be different again.

were the paint codes the same

if you give Skoda your VIN and reg they'll match it up for you

Just looking on halford's again. Black magic is coming up as c9z and z4. Diamond black is lc9z and z4. Is black magic the only black used on the fabia?

The black magic paint is a pearlescent fiish, not a metallic. I got mine in rattle can from Halfords.

Diamond black is pearl also.. seat dealer dose not do rattle cans

The VW Flash Red from Halfords was not the same as the VW Flash Red VW painted my car with. . . (as I found out on my wing mirror casing)

I got a touch up pen from the dealers and it's perfect, no fade or anything.

Be wary if you're going to buy some from a third party!

i cant get it genuine in a rattle can. i got emocion red for my leon in halfords before for mirror caps and it was a perfect match
