Im a complete novice with engines and dont have much clue about them. But what is the difference with an asz engine and a blt engine??

Very similar engines apart from the EGR setup.

Nope ASZ is as you don't need to retain the ASV.

Both aren't really hard to EGR delete just 2 different ways of doing it.
