Rear suspension pressed steel bottom arms

Featured Replies

Has anyone noticed corrosion on the edges of both the rear suspension bottom arms? Mine were so bad I treated them with anti-corrosion fluid.

My maindealer wasn't interested and simply said it wasn't on a recall so didn't think he could do anything.I guess it's not the kind of thing that gets noticed generally.

The car is just over 2 years old!!

The rough road pack has plastic covers for them...

Pics please

Yup, I've sprayed some chassis paint over the offending areas as I've been travelling over gravel roads more that the usual punter I guess. Nothing bad, just a preventive measure.

I keep a closer eye on the undersides of vehicles rather than the cosmetic paintwork - just an old habit :giggle:

I've got the RRP, wheel arch trims and my little polyurethane flaps to keep the gravel/mud damage to a minimum

There's no point taking pics as they are covered in rustproofing gooo now.
