Please identify these wheels?

Featured Replies

I have just purchased this Golf, it was really cheap and has full history, one owner and is a V6 4Motion, it does need a steering rack to pass an MOT.

I would like to know what the wheels are called and where I can get some centre caps for them, also is the steering rack an easy fix?

Audi Wheels?, Off a TT i think

audi diagnosis tool skype:nnobd2 thank you

You have lost me there mate?

I thought they look like RS4 9 spoke wheels

Nice car, you want to do it up and sell or have it as a daily/track toy?

They are audi rs4 9 spokes - missing centre caps that's all.

Very common after market wheel - if they aren't audi stamped behind the spokes they are cheap replicas.

Centre caps can be bought off eBay fairly cheap, audi will be £20 each from memory.

Jabo, I am going to track this car and break the MK III Golf that was going to be my track car!!! It will be a simple fix to get the 4 MO on the track and I can keep it quite stock, there is no rot on it, unlike the MK III so it will make a good platform to build on.

I have the bucket seats and harnesses, also it is simple to strip out unnecessary weight from the 4 MO.

As for the MK III, I will be selling everything off it except the wheels and the engine, I want to follow the turbo ABF 2.0 16 valve engine build and eventually replace the 204bhp V6 in the 4 MO which to be quite frank is a lazy engine that gives poor performance upgradeability.

I will change the wheels off the 4 MO for the MK III wheels too, they are 17" and should change the final drive ration and give improved acceleration on the smaller wheel.

Do you think the wheels above will look ok on a MK II Fabia vRS..........

Thanks AD LAV, I will get some centre caps ordered and get them refurbed either as a second set or for selling.

RS4 is 5x112 isn't it? So unless they're on adapters they'll be reps.

Thanks Matt, I will have a closer look when I take them off, they need looking at as the tyres keep going flat, I guess the bead rim is corroded a bit. They may well be reps, however the car has had them from new, the previous guy bought the car with them on. (so he says) 2002 "52" registration.

I didn't know V6 motors were unpopular on the power modding scene. I drove some Beemer V6 units and as far having nothing in lower rev range (below 4.5k) top end was brilliant. With N/A motors head work is the most important thing and if done well will reward handsomely. However, four pots are bred and butter of the UK tuning scene so...

As to the wheels, I personally like the thin spoke ones, like ultra lite racing models from Oz Racing and the like. I like them thin lean and mean :D

Wheel were 5x100 on the S3 and A2 in both 17 and 18 inch flavour.

Reps will be multi stud iirc

The Golf has 5 studs so might be original.

There is always a possibility of turbo charging the V6 as it is not a true "V" in the way most are, it is a 15'V, this only has one cylinder head as does the V5 so I would still need to upgrade six pistons and rods but would only need one turbo.

Supercharger bolts on with no issues ;)

uber expensive though!!! A viable easy option I have to agree however one of my kidneys would have to go on ebay lol.

Seen a few vr6 golfs with mini super chargers. Sounds awesome and goes really well. Would see 230/240bhp from memory.
