Hi

I have a Skoda Octavia II (2005 reg, 1.4 petrol) which has started making a persistent beeping sound from the left rear corner. It seems to be coming from around the light-fitting and I suspect some electrical problem but not sure how to proceed. This is not like the warnings you normally get from the car (e.g. door open or seat-belt warning) but continuous high pitched alarm type noise.

I did notice some water in the boot seal which I have drained but still no luck. The noise is audible from outside the car and whilst driving as well as stationary (with car locked and keys removed).

It did stop once briefly and it sounds like a relay "click" when the noise starts up again....

Any tips / hints appreciated!

Found it - turns out it was a faulty unit for tow bar electrics causing the problem, have disconnected for the time being, problem solved...

on a similair topic,since fitting a tow bar to my fabia a month ago,when indicating,vv loud from right rear light cluster,wasnt there before,gone when i take out the tow  bar electrics fuse.puzzled?
