Zenith alloys, opinions please!

Featured Replies

Hi to all

Just bought Zenith alloy wheels 17" from Ebay. Want to put on my Octy Elegance which have 16" original STARS.

Will those wheels spoil the ride to much????

I know for sure that I need to tide all calipers, which are more visible with VR's alloys and not shiny any more.....

Can't see you'll have an issue. Comfort level will go down as wheel size increases and tyre volume decreases but my vRS runs 18" wheels and the ride is fine.

Get em bought man,a good looking wheel imo.Would go for 18s thought as 17s looked lost on my vrs but 18s look far better

These are my wheels, when are you coming to collect :0)

Plus just to add you got them at a bargain price!

I have these on my Ambiente. Much better than the 15" Helios alloys before. Really changes the look of the car. I find the ride just a little bit more bumpier than 15,s but nothing to put you off though. Enjoy them and keep them clean :)

Oh dear, as per the other thread I now fancy a set of Zeniths for my Elegance estate.

On YOUR Octavia Elegance, the ride will become awful, you'll have problems getting them to fit, and tyres are horrendously expensive.............

If this has put you off, let me buy them off you!!!!!!!

Seriously, you won't have any issues whatsoever. Enjoy.

Mike

You said that : On YOUR Octavia Elegance, the ride will become awful, you'll have problems getting them to fit, and tyres are horrendously expensive! And second you said: On MY Octavia Elegance, they would fit perfectly, and it would ride much better, as well as having a big improvement in the looks! Tell me what's the difference between your Elegance and my one????????????????

Nice Emoji ))

Definitely worth doing...I got the 18" Zeniths on mine pretty soon after I got the car. On the 18's I did notice a difference when the road surface wasn't great...and you have to be a lot more careful when parking on the kerb but other than that they are great!

Any concern about the change in speed readings etc?

can't wait to put them on, very interesting how my car will looks on them! Thank you

Any concern about the change in speed readings etc?

Speed reading should be the same as the original tyre size providing you fit the correct size tyres for the wheels

I have found that going from 205/55 16 on Vega alloys to 225/40 18 on Zeniths has made a slight difference and the Speedo doesn't read quite as much overspeed when compared to a GPS speed reading. Not much in it, but have to be careful in 30 zones now as 35 on the Speedo would probably mean points now ......

In photobucket when you select the pic you want it gives you the image code for it and you select this and paste to thread and should give you the picture.

Hope that makes sense.
