Wanted EOS fit lenses, wide angle or tele

Featured Replies

After having my kit stolen a while ago and being in no position to replace it with my dire finances, i have been aquiring things cheaply as possible.

Its old i know but very capable, I have an eos 10d i got for £50, and a 50mm fast prime lens for £30 to get me at least started again. Its nowhere near the quality i had but its very capable, crisp and clear, a bit harder to get quality shots but im back on the wagon.

Anyhow as we know the nifty fifty is great but limits me a little, particularly for scenery or wildlife shots, and confined spaces.

so i would like to see if anyone has any old eos fit and digital compatible lenses cheap - most conditions considered as long as optics are spot on (no fungus or scratches obviously)

need wide angle (even kit lens variety 18-55 or similar) will consider any makes etc

and telephoto lens (up to 2-300mm if poss) again most considered

whats around please??

PITA to have your kit nicked. Value is irrelevant, finding and replacing is hard!

Mate had a rucsac pinched from his car boot on his drive while unloading, about a grand of climbing kit to replace today, mostly he'd acquired over 10years or more. Impossible for him to simply replace. Luck has it climbing gear ain't popular, plod found his bag dumped a few miles away.

I digress ( a lot ). I happen to have a silver 300d here, with a 18-55 kit lens on. the 300d it'self is worth next to nothing, has a dust spot and I was going to donate it to somebody. The lens with it as I've not used it in years.

I did have a sigma x-200 non-is lens, but I'm dammed if I can find it anywhere. I think I may of traded it in, but really cannot recall now (scary). Mid moving rooms around, so it maybe in a box of books.

Longer lens, again mostly unused now. I have a sigma 135-400, 4.5-5.6 again not much use, nor used much now, carry bag, no box.

If any of that is of use, let me know.

it is a total pain mate, like you say value is irrelevant as each and every item in my bag was painstakingly chosen over months and months, studying reviews, deciding what i myself needed. Many hours driving around scotland to find second hand stuff that wasnt available new anymore. You know sometimes you find a lens with glass that you just love how it makes the pic look?

Anyhoo, whats done is done. Ive been knocked, but its only me that can stay down, gotta get back up and start from scratch, buying cheap kit until i can afford something more modern...... TBPH the 10d was a belter and still (in right hands) can rival newer stuff - composition is everything.

Thanks very much mate I am about to send you a pm.

I have a 55-250mm canon lens . Never used it since buying 70-200 F4 IS prime lense.

I still have the box etc for it too.

Any details on this 135-400 quite fancy something with a little further range as I'm off safari in July.

How much you after buddy?

The 135-400 lens fetches a fair whack so it won't be mega cheap I don't think.

To be honest I'm not 100% sure what the lens is worth. Let me look into it. Or feel free to make an offer. I can get some photos tonight if you require. It's been sat in a protective bag inside a lowpro rucksack for a few months.
