Why does Ebay always lock my computer ?

Featured Replies

Since I've had broadband ( a few months only) I find that if I do a search or two on ebay it then locks my Pc up mid-search. I have to switch off at the mains and re-boot.

I'm still running Windows 98 and needed about an hour on the phone with BT to actually get broadband running in the first place, as they had very little 98 experience - it was trial and error on the internet settings.

Being a PC neanderthal, the only other problem was on one site where I'm submitting information (eg. job applications etc) and it seems to think I haven't got cookies enabled but have.

Do you reckon this is all to do with BT Broadband itself or the settings on my own PC ?

Any advice or 'try this ' would be appreciated

I would say it has more to do with your settings then Bt broadband. Now you probably wont like this answer. Your best solution to this problem is to ditch windows 98 like the dog it is. Other then that check which version of internet explorer you are using, then got to www.mozilla.org, download mozilla firefox and use that instead
