I think I'm in love. Just seen a Matt white S8 with black Audi badges. Firstly it looked stunning...secondly, that noise!! The V10 makes my V8 sound inadequate...:(

I'm also a fan of big German barges. I've been looking at older S8 versions as they are wide enough to get the three kids in the back. Problem is, the examples I can afford are probably at the end of their trouble free lives and I'd be buying a whole world of pain. I've also looked at older seven series beemers too, but again I don't know enough about them to buy with confidence. :S

Having spent some time and miles behind the wheel of the latest version they are a very fast and comfy way to make progress. Almost as quick cross country as an R8. Take it easy and you can get around 29mpg.

They do sound nice as well.

I'm not sure on his engine, but a black saloon with that sound would be amazing. 29 mpg isn't that bad considering..

It wasnt even an Audi in the Transporter, it was a BMW 750iL iirc. :(

In Transporter 2 and 3 he drove an A8L with the W12 but some shots actually show an S8 badge on the grill!!
