Fk ak coilovers

Featured Replies

Anyone used these in the vrs octavia? Any good?

Still a pretty cheap brand, your gonna get a split camp, they do just fine, but there are better out there, however not this price tag.

To summarise the way the thread will go.

If your happy that paying this amount of money gets you something that will lower your car and improve handling a bit then ideal.

If you want something with top notch ride quality and more than 3 years longevity, maybe they are not for you.

My mate got a set for 150 quid, brand new. They feel like they're worth that much but they do the job. Hes got a 300bhp Mk4 Golf and they manage. Just they're pretty stiff so don't expect comfort!

Wait and get a drive in mine with Prosports before u buy mate

Not sure you can get the AK's in vRS fitment due to ARB link mounting point... Are these the entry level ones? AK Street?

Yeah there the ak street. Ive always used cheap hottuning coilovers in my golfs and never any bother and rode well. Sure the drop links dont attach to the shock do they not attach to the bottom arm like the golf?

To do this you need to change the arb!

Plus if you change the arb for a golf one the rub lower than 40mm

I know they have the lower arb like the r32 and tt etc. not a big loop 1 like the golf. I havnt been below the vrs yet so didnt no where the droplink attachs to. Always thought it wos the bottom arm not the shock.

vrs is definitely attached to shock

My fk ak's were very comfortable little bit stiffer than standard. Really improved my old vrs estate. Mine were only a tiny bit lower than standard ride height though

FK don't do an AK Street kit for the VRS.

I've got them on my vrs. Got them dead cheap so thought why not. Just changed the droplinks for lower arm ones. Works a treat and well happy with the ride comfort, even when im as low as I am (about 50-60mm) ;)
