Diesel injectors

Featured Replies

Afternoon all, Would it be prudent to replace the injectors every couple years or over a certain mileage or can these be flushed out? Also are there any obvious tell tell sign to help identify a blockage?

Any thoughts on the above would be much appreciated.

Are you referring to your CR? As I would no, very expensive and in my opinion not worth it to simply replace them unless they are knackered.

If you are worried that they will begin to become unreliable there are folk out there who can service them etc but again its car off the road for a day.

Try using purpose designed fuel system treatments that are available, not the cheap stuff obviously, ask your garage what they would use!

Skoda would likely advise against any use of fuel treatments.

Skoda might but I wouldn't. I've seen first hand the difference proper treatments can do and until that point I just thought they were gimmicks.

Not sure how they can damage pump internals or injectors either, never heard of it myself
