Yes the Vrs spiders will be a direct fit.

The standard elegance wheels clear the brakes, so the l&k wheels should too :)

Thank's for that,

Jim

Can i pick your brains,

does your 17" wheel with that tyre combo, match the original gearing and speedo.

where do you research the variations/combinations that work, so i can look for something that works for me.

Jim

The wheels came with the tires from rimstyle and they ensure they are a good fit and all works as they should.

The speedo is still accurate.

Heres a good guide for fitting

Thank You

Jim

thank you.

I do love petrol but for practical reason have to stick with diesel :)

thank you.

See I was like that but living 5 mins away from work it seemed pointless having a diesel as I would just have to keep constantly cleaning the turbo out and oil changes

So i ordered paint for my car useing the paint code on the hand book.

I then painted my rear bumper and bumper insert well the colour is a little differant

post-55746-0-08854200-1428268725_thumb.jpg

I dont mind the colour but i think they forgot to put the grey in it

Was that straight on primer or original paint? Does look like a bad mix but silvers a bitch to match without blowing in and a different colour primer will bleed through. How many coats did you put on as silver gets darker with every coat but thats bluer, always ask for the lightest variation when ordering too. If you re paint again put a white coat on as a base to ease that colour on there now.

Straight onto grey primer, then 3-4 coats of paint

Hm could be the grey making it blueish, some water based paints (assuming thats what it was) bleed primer if its not baked super dry. Id always go for lightest silver mix as I said above and if you can get a light primer or put a couple white coats on first. When I had my chipsaway franchise I was lucky that everything worked together but even so silver would go darker the more I sprayed and shadow from different angles. Basically silver sucks to spray.

Well the company who mix the paint did not mix thoroughly when pouring in to the can. My wife manage to spray the last bits out of the can and we have three different paints. Can one had the grey paint in it, can two had grey/blue in it and can three had blue in it

(guess which can was the last one to be used).

Any way been back to the company and guess what its my fault and when i argued with him he then blamed the paint. I argued again and he made up a sample bottle. So i tested the sample and it matches my paint work. So i went back to this company and he still dismissed me. So next step is name and shame Drive motor spares New Romney Kent

Thats daft, the place I use mix the whole lot up then put it in the cans. Theres no excuse for getting mixing wrong, its so easy! If ya want any help give us a shout

On other news it was mot time today. Got to the mot station and just as the car went on to the ramp the off side front brake started leaking so it faiĺed so ring round parts suppliers to get new brake hose. Got home to fit the new brake hose and found out what was leaking post-55746-0-73577000-1431210985_thumb.jpg. Back to mot station for retest and the car passes. Then the mot tester reverse the car into a wall post-55746-0-51662600-1431211223_thumb.jpg

Get back home and started on replacing my steering rack and subframe.

Out with the old post-55746-0-89697900-1431211998_thumb.jpg in with the new post-55746-0-03963100-1431212162_thumb.jpg post-55746-0-60728000-1431212262_thumb.jpg post-55746-0-68171900-1431212332_thumb.jpg
