Hello!

I recently lost a wheel trim off my 53 plate Fabia - very annoying - so I have been looking for a replacement set.

I got a set of trims from Halfords - these come with the outer ring fastenings rather than the "clips" which fit into the actual wheel like on the one I lost, and when I've tried to fit it, the trim just won't fit snugly over the wheel as it doesn't seem to be deep enough to accommodate the dimensions of the wheel.

The trim just looks like it's going to fall off, and pulls off very easily. I've considered cable ties, but would have to put a fair few on to pull it snug into the wheel which would just look a mess.

I've been looking around, and it seems all wheel trims now come with this outer fitting, and I'm wary about wasting any more money on trims just to have the same problem.

Has anyone replaced their trims with some with the outer ring style fixing, and if so, did you have any problems and how did you overcome them?!

I don't have trims myself but have you tried ebay or a breakers yard for standard ones?

take the trims back to halfords and say they are no good ... get a refund .... ring local breakers ... ebay ... place an add in the wanted section with pics .... or just keep looking in hedges lol

an on previous cars i have always had atleast 1 cable tie on each trim to prevent losses
