Near Manchester/Bolton

Should be able to post fine throughout the site I would say.

Reactions tend to be mixed. Some people prefer to buy a more expensive car without aircon in this office ;)

Others (including several beemer drivers) have commented on the vRS in particular and made some positive noises.

At the end of the day it looks decent, the Furby is not that big but ok. If you want a bigger one get the Octy any day, far more boot space :)

Performance wise the vRS is pretty decent as of standard too.

not far! wigan im in. if im knockin round rebock ill look out 4 ya. get some briskoda sticker in your windows.

It says I don't have permission to post in any other part of the forum :-(

Yes I noticed that about air-con... girl here drives a Cooper S... and doesn't have air-con!... UNLUCKY for her it was sweltering yesterday :-)

The key thing for any car I get is that it NEEDS to be a solid motorway cruiser... I need to be able to cruise the motorway @80mph for HOURS and still be fresh and comfortable. The vRS seems to be right up there with even much larger cars. My own personal car guru (works in the business and has driven literally every car you could think of) says the vRS is more confortable than a fully-loaded Passat.

Leigh, Wigan..... It's SUPER LEAGUE HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:rofl:

Welcome BLiND.

You need to post a set number of times before you get access to some parts of the site. It's to stop people joining and then just trying to sell stuff like a free Ebay.

The whole Fabia range in general is set up for comfort rather than sporty handling. The vRs more so as the 6th gear means 70mph is not even touching the turbo.

If you get NERO burning software you can burn CD's in another format which isnt MP3 and the Symphony player plays them fine...

HTH

don't worry, I'm not into rugby at all, more into footy, but my club has just been bought out so I won't ever be going there again.

I have nero6... what format is that?... is it compressed so that I can fit more than 1 album on a CD?

I don't actually have the car yet... picking it up on friday :-)

I have to say the blacks do look the best, but keeping them clean must be a complete nightmare... I do way to many miles to keep a car that clean... red should be ok for me :-)

There is a post in the for sale called "Black 53-plate Octavia VRS"... it has some picture on it, and they looked like the guy has some of that Anti-speed camera flash, spray on his numberplates... does anyone use it and is it any good?

The CD player is a piece of cake to change. Pop the old one out, un plug, pop the new one in and Bob's your uncle. A nice and easy 5 minute job. And the fascia adapter from Skoda is only

Got My VRS today!!!... no idea how to post a picture but am SO want to just go for a ride!

Has anyone used those MP3 FM transmitters... any good?

I got one of these off eBay and much to my surprise a) it came in 4 days, from the States, and B) it works well, both with a portable CD player and a USB drive containing MP3s, through the standard Symphony head unit.

Purists would say hard-wire the sound source to the head unit, but as a quick fix, they are worth a go.
