Skoda Superb 2006 (Facelift)

Some kind soul took the drivers wing mirror off my parked Superb this morning. The colour coded casing has broken, the indicator lens has been smashed and the plastic clip fixes from the casing and lens cover have snapped inside the mirror framework.

I called Skoda at Flax Bourton, Bristol and got a quote of £423 including VAT for the motor, casing, painting of casing, indicator unit and lens cover - with fitting I guess around £475!! At least the man at the parts had the decency to ask if I was sat down before he told me!!

Rough price breakdown was

£144 plus vat for wing mirror unit

£73 plus VAT for indicator unit

£25 plus VAT for plastic casing

£45 plus VAT for painting

Part number on sticker on inside of said broken wing mirror 3U2 857 508 AI a search on it came back with 3U2 857 508 E 01C

I am trying to source a second hand unit, casing (different colour or primed new one), indicator unit with lens.

I have sent a request via the breaker sites but understand that although wing mirrors may say they fit the Skoda Superb 2002-2008 they may not.

Any suggestions? Someone got a friendly contact?
