Superb SE-L 2020 facelift noisy on drivers side

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Took delivery of a new 2020 face lift Superb 1.5 DSG SE-L in November and immediately noticed how noisy it is on the drivers side above about 30 mph. The passenger side door is virtually silent. The dealer originally agreed with me until Skoda Tech said that it was perfectly normal (well they would wouldn't they) and has since wanted nothing to do with it despite my argument that, why should the passenger side door be silent but the drivers side sound like the door is not shut and/or the window is not completely closed. .Has anybody else experienced this problem and if so was it fixed?

It'll be either the door is out of adjustment or the seals.

Thanks John999boy for your quick reply. Yes that's what I said to the dealer "technicians", but they said, without trying anything I hasten to add, that both the door was aligned properly and the seals "looked"OK and without Skodas go ahead will not replace anything because they will not get paid. Thinking of taking it to an excellent indy that I know. Not what I expect from a £30 k car.
