So I did.

Yellow - because it was cheaper than the others (we wanted a Fabia vRS a good few years back now but every single one in our budget was yellow - we bought something else).

Obviously all the above should have a sarcastic smiley next to them apart from black because thats spot on - it is the best.

Go on - go for yellow. You know it makes sense. 176 million daffodils can't be wrong.

If you want black, become an undertaker. Or the boss of a drugs cartel. 'Specially with gangsta-style blacked-out windows.

Red - goes faster. Apparently.

No "apparently" about it. Well known, proven scientific fact.

I have a True Red 2.0 litre Mazda MX-5 and a dark metallic blue-grey Citroen BX diesel estate car.

After 6 years of thorough and precise testing, I can confirm that the Mazda is definitley faster than the Citroen.

Silver - a close second behind black I reckon. Subtle and understated on a quick car. I like.

I certainly prefer this description of silver to some of the others...

this tread is quiet biast, whats everyones second choice of colour?

Second choice would be Race Blue, after my first choice of Race Blue!

Did consider the mental metallic green but didn't have the balls for it!

I had two before my first yeti. The dark blue was it Storm blue? and the Gold both looked ok with blacked windows. I would propbally go for the Race Blue if I had a VRS. Not white or Red Yellow might be fun but I would tire of it, as for Brown hmmmm can you have muscavado? Also the Allagros made me smile I had a very rare 1750 vanden plas in Black! one of only 4 made, there was a reason...... they were terrible, ah to be poor again with no taste.

Clearly all thick as mince!!!

Race Blue is the colour they even put race in the colour.... ha!! :)

I Agree, but now with the Mk3 anyone can get Race Blue, shure where is the logic in that :dull:

All the colours are pretty decent, however blue/black/silver/white/grey are just too common in every marque so just blend into the crowd. :)

I'll admit my favourite SKODA colour at the time of buying my car was the Superb Nightfire Blue. Darker than the Race Blue and so, so deep and lustrous!

Has to be red as an alternative. Race blue is great and I loved mine but now every tom, harry and harry is going to have one so I'd steer clear of that.

Whatever it is, is sure as hell isn't whatever that awful metallic violent shade of green I've seen a few octys & fabia vrs' in!

You quite clearly 'should have gone to Spec Savers'. Rallye green is

I could be slightly biased though.

When i got mine it was initially :-

  • Red - Like my MK 1 but I wasn't 100% if it suited the car. I now think it does but has to have black alloy's
  • White - Was what I ordered for the first 2 weeks before I changed to green. Saw one in the flesh next to another brand in white and it looked slightly washed out.
  • Green - Thought it looked cack in the photos at first and agreed with others that it looked ok on the Fabia but was a risk on a bigger car. Once I saw the car in the flesh I was sold.

I ruled out Black, Silver, Grey and blue as they seemed too popular.

My one regret is I totally discounted the yellow. On the MK I it was washed out and looked like it had faded in the Sun. The MK II yellow, certainly on the facelift is much much better. The missus hates yellow though....

Come to think of it, why didn't I go for yellow

Rallye green with black neptunes is deffo the best combination. I would have had mine in that colour combo but i didn't like the fact that they hung around the dealerships for far too long before they sold. And the fact that i got a load of free kit on the blackline for the same price as the basic car.

Race blue is a close second tho

Not really sure about the trend for black wheels, Corrida red definitely gets admiring glances I have noticed since buying my Vrs a month ago.

Race blue suits the car, just much too common sadly.

I certainly prefer this description of silver to some of the others...

Yup. Agreed. No shouting required. Great car. Full stop.
