Is this normal? Ive looked at lots of other Octavias on google images and they all seem to have a fair old gap between the bonnet and bumper. Ive tried lowering my bonnet down more, but the the wings sit higher than the bonnet etc. What does everyone else think? Have they also noticed it?

Excuse my dry crusty finger, all that polishing and washing today has fooked my skin up.

Losen the bumper off and try adjust it by lifting bumper up. Could posbibly be aftermath of crash damage.

Mines about the same as that.My fingers can go between the grille and bumper too.

Everything looks perfectly aligned there.

Don't inadvertently damage something because you think you are carrying out (wrongly) corrective action!

I've just rebuilt the front end of my car after replacing the condenser and I have the same size gap too. There is no way to get the bumper sitting higher due to design/location of fixings.

the gap seems to be "normal"...be it a pre-facelift, or facelift.

.....although when compared to ur headlights, they do seem a tad higher.

Mine was like that, shut line gaps were shocking.

Sorry to report that the gap on my 13 plate VRS is a lot smaller - cannot get a finger in it (not that I want to!)

Just as well you clarified that this is your finger.

Just been out in the rain to look at my 08 plate and I can't get my fingers in the gap. Could it be that your bumper has been replaced, and I don't know if there is any ajustment on that.

Just had a look at my 58 plate,there is a gap but its even all the way along & i can only just get the tip of my finger in it.

Sorted now, lowered the bonnet catch and it's all good, can just about get the tip of my finger in now instead of a full finger.
