Front mud flap cost

Featured Replies

So my dealer had quoted £72 for front mudflaps supplied and fitted over the phone. I haven't had time to quiz why it is £45 fitted in the brochure I have. Does anyone know if the £45 is the right price fitted? It does seem a bit cheap to me!!!

The dealer should honour the brochure price which includes fitting, part of the dealer fit accessories section. My dealer threw them in as part of the deal along with a full tank of fuel  Picking mine up in the morning, even getting collected from the train station by the Sales Exec as I have no trade in to drive in!

Went in to order sill protectors (scuff plates) & front mud flaps today, my dealer has both in stock, (me very impressed) I took my brochure in with me, & parts manager said, lucky I had, as they had both gone up,

Mud flaps now £72 & sill protectors £90 I believe he said!! As I had taken the brochure in & quoted the prices, he is honouring them so I get them for £95 fitted!!

What I'm not happy about is, being told I can't have them fitted for 2 weeks!! They are a small job, sill plates are self adhesive, mud flaps are what, 2 fixings a bit of drilling maybe?

Anyway, he fitted me in a week this Friday!! I would have thought he could have found someone to fit them while I waited!! They are also changing my scored plates!!

Sounds like a load of balloney to me, the latest brochure on-line still has the same prices! Glad you got it sorted though

Thanks, miffed at the wait to fit tho, all simple jobs imo, parts in stock, should have taken them away & fitted them myself!!

Provided I have the right multi hex screw attachment of course! Screws already in place on car, so no drilling required, I assume mud flaps have the right holes in them!!

Do you have any pics of what the car looks like with the front mud flaps? Do you think they are worth the money?

hmmm. I paid £45 for a FULL set of flaps for my mkII and IIRC around the same for a full set of black sill protectors so looks like the mkIII owners are being overcharged. the front flaps on the mkII require no drilling and take 10 minutes to fit
