Oh? You got rid? where did you P/X?

When tryna flog a ford KA my mum bought as a gift for my older sister(sister didnt want it) i tried autotrader, constant time wasters, ebay, plenty of bids, winner never contacted us.

Put it on gumtree, 10mins later someone was on there way to view it no joke. I was shocked. And she bought it

It's not a great time to buy an MX5 - suns out, price goes up accordingly!

I've always managed to sell via Autotrader, though recently when selling the Yeti, we got only 1 call in three weeks! Didn't even get any telesales! Sold it to a trader down south.

eBay Classified Ad is most definitely the way forward.

I was trying to sell an Audi A4 S-Line (my mums ex partners car that she owned, long story!) and had it on eBay for a month (Cost £15 on a classified ad) changed its price a couple of times and nothing.

Then put it on Auto Trader and all I got was these hooky 'dealers' trying to get you to pay £80 to book an appointment for them to come and 'buy your car' at about £100 less than its advertised which most people would jump at - I have more about me than that!

Then got nothing from Auto Trader, put it back on eBay at what turned out to be its realistic value and it sold within 8hrs. Then they only charged for about £3 as I closed the classified ad early.

Really its about being realistic with the price, does not matter where you put it if the price is too high. You have to remember the car market is a buyers market and with so many options around you can't price a car anywhere near the price it would be seen on a dealer forecourt when selling privately.

Webuyanycar as bad as they are at least are offering me 12.5K for mine still, which isn't overly bad as if I really needed the money I could throw it at them. They have stopped being so harsh with knocking money off the price now according to Watchdog after they slammed them, that remains to be seen though.

My last VRS went on Ebay and found a new home for £150 less then I had paid for it 2.5 years before and 20K more miles, just in time for its first timing belt change too..... :whew:

Why not try pistonheads that really is £9.99 with 12 pics, it is only an on-line site but know plenty who have sold using it. I have a car on at the moment, in 4 days three enquries, two viewers tomorrow. Might be worth ago?!

I've had quotes from them in the past, my current Yeti which I've part exchanges for 18500 I was offered first, £14000 then when I took it to the site was dropped to £12000. I've just bought a 12 mounth old A5 Cab for 35000 their value 22000!
