Named my Yeti

Featured Replies

Jana says 'Hi' to Betty, Simba, Marvin, Gott, Blanche, Effie, Annie, Skippy, Sergie, Ivor and The Car. :sun:

I had to write this as Jana is crap at typing :giggle:

I have to say that, in general, I agree with OldStan on the naming thing, but there is definitely something about a Yeti that makes it seem more like a pet - perhaps the fact that it's named after an animal? Skoda have used some very silly names for cars in the past (I used to call my Superb the Super B because superb is such a silly name) but I think "Yeti" is brilliant! And yes, mine is named. She's called Liz the Unbelievably Angry Viking after her number plate GL12 UAV :-)

Have I mentioned MBJ?

Boasting again? :wonder:

My youngest daughter (16) has named ours "Sergie" after its registration "SGY". Seems slightly appropriate for a snow monster?

we named my daughters for her

**** DZT, so we said it was a "dizzy tart" like the owner always forgetting things, she was not impressed but it has stuck :)

I used to call mine Elsie the Helipad, for hopefully obvious reasons.......

Sometimes it is called a Tonka Toy, when I'm out with the boys in their big toys....

I have given up as it is too long and swmbo calls it the Yeti.

The first time we drove our new Yeti through Torquay, every set of traffic lights stayed on green or changed to green as we approached (never happened before in 12 years) and slow cars magically turned off as soon as we caught them up. The immediate comment was that the Yeti must have some sort of supernatural force, and it was immediately named Yoda.

Yoda! Now I can't argue with that!

The first was Harry, after the yeti of the same name from Harry and the Hendersons.

Not though too much about a name for the new one yet. Leaning towards Harriet.
