forget the wheels forget my cut knuckles (even though i do use an alloy wheel brush) and get a huge intercooler which my friend hand builds for

BFOFMIC would be my choice

Wheels will reduce your performance in the real world, fmic will improve it in the long run.

Money saved on alloys could be used to recondition alloys to grey /black thus removing the need to clean so often.

Normally I just brush with a.n.other alloy thing, jet wash and brush...does not get it all off, but why fight a loosing battle.

oh and I'm not a show and shine person, so my view is biased to functionailty over form.

Chrome should be reserved only for roof rails on Audi estates where it looks great.Anywhere else,especially wheels and wing mirrors,looks too bling.

There are some stunning wheels out there that will do the trick for you

Be warned, very few manufacturers will guarante the chrome finish on wheels as our damp climate & Salty roads will destroy the finish, you will have clean your wheels even more.

If your wheels are in good nick buy a set of tatty ones & get them sprayed whatever colour you fancy, then sell the good ones for decent money. You should be able to get the whels sprayed quite cheaply for cash. Get them done with the tyres off & find a spray shop with an oven to harden them off
