  • I cannot believe that these pictures have surfaced on this site. The gold and red cars actually belong to my father, whilst I run a black mk3.

I just let a little wee out.

A mate of mine had a tree leaper and I remember being scared when I was in it with him!

How good does that look? Absolutely stunning!

That's amazing, I wish I had a garage so I could have something like this!

It's a shame cars don't look that good now. Was never a Ford fan but that looks cracking!

Nothing quite like the sound of a 3 litre Essex engine, that looks great.

Capri - The car you always promised yourself

I saw a mint looking b reg XR2 a few weeks ago going to the ford event at santa pod.

Looked like it'd just left the showroom

I went there and thought I was going to get lynched by the XR owners club after I accidentally parked in their area, but after realising the error of my ways I got away with it, doubt if I will be as lucky if I dared to park in an area full of Skodas :)

Inspiration for your choice of colours? :D

For years after people were scared of going if they drove anything not made by Vw.

It's pics like this which make me tempted to buy a run around and entomb the VRS in garage for a few decades then see if any of the computery gubbins fires up

Just been sent this pic via facebook, this one of his other cars a Capri 2.8, sitting in the showroom where my Uncle works (even has the original brochure for the car (1983/84))

Nice example. It seems to be running the wrong wheels though. They look like the 15" Brooklands rather than the original 13" Special wheels. It must have had some work too, as the bonnet is a different shade to the wings. It's nice to see one in such good nick as that though. Even the front valance appears to be rot free.

There's nothing quite like the sound of the 2.8 on full chat when linked to the club performance manifold and exhaust. Happy memories. :)

A beautiful & thirsty beast!!

Takes me right back to my 2.8i & the 1980's  ;)

It's not all Skodas. Some people even like Fords :)

Haha lol my skoda is my every day car whilst the capri is the owner of the garage. Had it 6 and a half years and been quite an on going project.

Old Fords do tend to be ongoing projects, even more so when use one everyday.  Show us some pictures of your Capri.

When I first bought it:

I like that, 2.1 pinto which I should think is a bit lively.
