Bye Bye Fabia vRS :-(

Featured Replies

Had a nice day today driving round Weardale and Teesdale, but coming through Staindrop on the A688 on the way back home, a 4x4 stopped in front of me suddenly, so I braked, managed to stop short of the 4x4, but then a oldish bloke in a Fiesta who had put his foot down (30 limit and this happened just before it changed to 60) wasn't concentrating and went into the back of me at some speed (more than 30) and pushed me into the 4x4. The Fiesta ended up on the other side of the road with the driver and 3 passengers (including wife, daughter and granddaughter) going to hospital. I had my girlfriend and 4 year old stepdaughter in my car. My little girl was fine, just a seatbelt burn mark on her neck, my girlfriend had a cut to her face after hitting the passenger airbag. As for the car, see below.

My pride and joy, but just a load of metal at the end of the day. Did its job protecting us inside it. Probably a write-off though. Gutted really because I had plans for it regarding mods and wanted to get involved with meets and trackdays organised on here. I may well do still if I stay with Skoda for my next car, we'll see.

Yeah that looks pretty done. Glad to hear you and your family is ok.

So sorry to hear this. Like you said though at the end of the day main thing is that you, your other half and little girl are all ok.

at least you walked away bud ... pretty gutting though the red ones look awesome

Never nice to see especially a fellow fabia. Glad everyone was ok in the car mate. Definatly a cat c i would say though, just hope you get a decent pay out to move on.

Thanks guys. Hoping to get a decent payout. Police and witnesses agree it was the fault of the Fiesta driver, probably going to get done with careless driving. 4x4 I was pushed into was unscathed pretty much! We're all OK though, just a few aches and pains. Going to sort it out with the police and insurance company tomorrow.

Yeah, thats another great car in the scrappy but like you say just a piece of metal.Glad everyone aint hurt too bad.Could happen to anyone.Get another one !!

Crikes! Glad to hear your all ok and the car had done a good job of protecting you all.

Bugger :(

Glad your okay, get another!

Blimey themain thing is your all ok, it's a real shame are you going to be buying it back from the insurance company to break down for parts

Just echoing above, glad you're okay and car can be replaced.

Really sorry to hear about the collision today... glad everyone could walk away in one piece though :)

Sorry to hear about the car but glad to hear everyones ok and the car did its job well

What the hell was the old fart in the Fiesta doing, texting while he put his foot down to 60 ??? Idiot

Dunno mate, just not paying attention by the sounds of things, and he'd started accelerating before the 30 limit ended so he hit us with quite a bit of force.

sorry to hear about your bump, aslong as you and your folks are ok, like you said the fabia did its job and protected its passengers. :(

Could of been worse, glad to bere family is okay.

Metal can replaced at the end of the day, its not nice but least you walked away!
