Toll Road vRS police car

Featured Replies

I was coming back from Jabba yesterday and took the Toll road, passed a unmarked silver vRS who had just pulled someone over. The police man was walking to talk to the driver as I shot past with a dildo in a merc behind me who would keep persisting to try and overtake me.

I did catch the policemans attention but luckily he had already got a customer.

I say this :finger: to unmarked police cars!

I'd rather the UK had 10,000 unmarked police cars than 10,000 Officer Gatsos.

Funny , I'm hugely in favour of them.

They are much more effective at catching dangerous drivers than either marked cars or fixed cameras.

unmarked cars should only be used by CIDand the like where they need to get close to a suspect without spooking them.

all traffic cars should be marked, much more effective at slowing people and making them safer and we don't hate them as much when they are open about who they are

They don't make people safer in my experience as people in the outside lane suddenly brake from 85mph down to just under 70mph when they see a police car!

Chris

Yep would agree with that.

I always think the speed difference is more important than the absolute speed (on motorways, that is). And I'd love for the unmarked cars to pull those tw@ts over who hog the fast lane at 65 mph on a 3 (6?) lane road... As they cause the potential for some lovely accidents when those who travel at some speed slam their brakes on, do their 'dive into 2nd lane' rubbish and then cause a pile-up.

For some reason always seems to happen as the 'missile-driver' comes to join in from the sliproad without paying attention.

I've spotted a copper pulling one of those morons over though, gave him the thumbs up for that :D

For catching bad drivers, I'm in favour of unmarked police cars.

I'm also in favour of:-

1) The police knocking on the door of everyone whose vehicle is not taxed/MOT'd/insured. If TV licence people can do it ....

2) The courts being able to hand out meaningful penalties that can be enforced

ps Who else enjoys the toll booth drag-run up to 70mph against the cars you've been keeping station with or just overtaken previously!

hell yeah, race race race race

... its a bit like 'Supermarket queue' syndrome. Will you end up behind the slow and clueless who can't find their money, or time it just as the person in front is leaving, and pay and run !
