CG Motorsport - Performance Intesity Brake Discs

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

For a long time we have strictly been a clutch company, however as we have continued to grow we are now looking to move into the ever competitive brake market.

With the recent addition of some state of the art CNC machines we are now able to offer Grooved and Dimpled extremely high quality brake discs.

To start our new range off I thought I would come on here and offer the discs to our Briskoda faithful.

A price on a set of a Pair of Front Discs for the Fabia VRs is £80 and rears are £40, Mintex brake pads are also available and competitively priced.

These prices are a lot cheaper than what we plan to retail the product at online,m just thought it would be a nice start to offer them to you guys first.

i'm sure you will be able to pick discs up for cheaper on fleaBay but at this price and this quality I'll be shocked if we can be beaten.

We will be making these for all vehicles across the Skoda range so if you don't have a Skoda VRs drop me a PM with your car details and we will get you a quote out ASAP.

Thanks

Andy

How much are Octavia VRS ones? Or rather the discs for the 312mm setup that many of us have :)

+1

Could you do them just grooved and not drilled?

They are dimpled rather than drilled - just incase you hadn't noticed mate :)

I don't like drilled discs tbh.

Like I said we are still in a teething phase of this brake program..... The disks will all be dimpled and grooved I need to change the wording on the image.

We will be doing the VRs ones at £108 a pair. Just to compare with other leading suppliers Black Diamond recommend a retail of £150 for their cheapest pair in this size.

Those of you have already bought our clutches and flywheels will know the level of quality of our products and the brake discs will be no different.... ;)

I'd never even noticed the wording on the picture - it wouldn't work for me.

Are the rears also grooved etc?

Is the price including postage?

Didn't even notice, pic won't load on my phone.

Not a fan of groved and drilled/dimpled disks, prefer one or the other, looks a bit boy racer.

Would you be interested in doing a discounted trial run for forum members so you can get some feedback/reviews??

Hi Day, this is our discounted rate, when the range is ready for distribution I imagine we will be setting our target price around the true RRP of companies such as Black Diamond and Lk Performance.

Thanks

Black Diamond and LK Performance have been round years and have the experience to back it up. Increasing your prices that much will price you out of the market. Companies like CRN Products and MTEC do a similar setup for the same price and are very popular as you get value for your money.

Thanks for the advice Day but that is where we are heading :)

We have a solid structure and enough technical expertise to compete with those guys, plus I think you'll find we are the only one of those companies that CNC's out own products in house...

I get your point though we are just letting some people sample out products now before they are priced into a higher bracket.

Are your discs upto heavy track work (as in repeated and late, heavy braking), with agressive pads, without warping, cracking etc ?

If so (and you give warranty on them), do you do them in 323mm to fit with LCR brembo's and how much ?

Are these coated (like Pagid, etc) so that the coating rubs off the swept area and the remaining coating prevents the surface corrosion?

I got mine the other day, look sweeeeeeeet. Cant wait to get them put on. But i have to wait for the car to be on the road again. Pairing mine with ebc red stuffs for now. But these guys will do you good prices on mintex pads aswell.

The quality from looks far superceeds the mtec pieces of **** on my old car. So big thumbs up to these guys! (Y)

Get em ordered ;)

Can't wait any longer, going to buy some ATE Powerdiscs.

Not to sure if this is still active ? But do you only do disks for mk1 fabia interested in rear and front disks with mintex pads for a fabia mk 2 vrs please pm me once you come back on

I bought all round discs by Pagid recently (Octy sizes; 312mm & 256mm) for £115 from ECP. These folks look set to be pricing themselves out of the market against established, reputable brands.

Fair enough mate thanks for the reply I will be looking elsewhere then .

And will start with ECP

Thanks Josh

Andy, Will yours rust in Nano seconds (like OEM ones) after washing the car?

as abit of feedback after decent usage. I can vouch for these discs. much better than the mtec ones I had previously on my old car, which I assumed originally

quality seems to be good so far, done a good 10k on them and no issues as of yet

my friend is running these on his 200sx also, again with no issues

(y) thumbs up from me guys!
