DPF lifespan

Featured Replies

I still don't get the whole DPF thing, it collects crap so its less polluting but then it clears it out anyway.... So if it isn't collected by the filter forever and it all still inevitably comes out the other end what is the smegging point?

ps. DPF's scare me!

15K in 2.5 years on my car but that doesn't automatically mean little runs, over 12K of that has been on 4 long journeys. The rest of the time I just clean it and take lots of pictures :D

What silver and madskoda said.

I had mine done by shark over 12 months ago, PDF removal and stage 0 and it really didtransform the car, from what already was in my opinion a very good car. Even better performance, mpg, feeling much more even power delivery through the rev range. passed its mot with no issues at all recently. I get ichy feet with cars every 12 months or so, the wife snapped mine up when I talked about getting rid, I'm in a 4x4 now and missing it a lot......although I knows it's always going to be on the path for when I fancy a blast.

Was this car remapped?
