Need to change the front on my 07 VRS.

After taking a look, its undo hub/shaft nut, brakes off etc, then shaft out and undo 4 bolts bearing off and replace.

But what are the torque settings for the bolts that hold the hub/bearing on and also the hub nut.

My haynes manual says 70 nm then angle tighten a further 90 degrees for the new hub bolts & for the hub nut (6 sided-200nm then angle tighten a further 180 degrees) & for the hub nut 12 sided- 70 nm then angle tighten a further 90 degrees) This is for the DIESEL octavia though a haynes dont do a petrol manual.

Are these a hub replacement now? I thought the front bearings are pressed in unless I'm mistaken and they are in fact sealed units

They go screwed, you can buy oem, aftermarket ones,... but I recommend Cupra R or S3, because can last more than RS ones

MK II Octavia has always been a bolt on hub replacement.

Can anyone tell me the torque bit size for the 4 bolts?

M14 spline if I remember correctly?
