We've had our new Roomster for 6 weeks now.

In Australia they're not big sellers (300ish sold in total since 2007), so it's a seriously off beat choice here. There's only one model available in Oz. It's the 77kw (103bhp I think) 1.2tsi with a bitsa spec including air con, cruise control & maxidot but missing stuff like sunglass holder, underseat drawers. We added reverse sensors, mudflaps and floormats and also got bike racks and cross bars.

Congratulations, glad you like it..sorry to hear it doesn`t sell well, maybe more competition, of types,in OZ. The photos are great keep us posted with how you get on..I`ve got one on order and looking forward to it next month.

We have just bought one a Roomster SE TSI 86ps had it about a month, best car we have ever bought, it is quiet, ROOMY and drives like a car, sticks to the road like glue, corners well, and accomidates our two dogs without having to put the rear seats down also on motorway have to keep eye on spedo as the otherday was doing 90 + and thought I was doing 70 so foot off the pedal. A great motor.

Had mine four years now, and still love it for the same reasons Alex loves his.

Hope you feel the same about yours in four years time.

With the possible exception of the Yeti, I cannot think of any other car I would rather own.
