Thinking of leaving the vrs already :(

Featured Replies

So basically im thinking of leaving the fabia already and going for something else any advice or suggestions be much appreciated and definitely listened to,

Had a couple of ideas being a civic type r or glanza

Integra type r anyday over the civic. Just depends on your budget, and what sort of mileage you do for work, what you look for in a car etc

A glanza is a very nice car powerfull and under estermated but they have quite a few common problums with them aspecially when tuned plus there age is starting to show but not to say I wouldn't buy one.

The civic r type is a car my self am not too keen on maybe due to there one of the least most powerfull in there group. But te integra type r as said above that's alot nicer or even sticking with the Honda what about an s2000

Have u throught about a magane sport.

Or possibly some other vag group member like Leon Cupra R or mk5 golf gti.

How long have you had the Fabia??

What put you off it??

Erm if I get my new job mileage wil be around 10-15 miles per shift so next to nothing. Just after something nice looking, relatively quick out of the box I had an accord type r before probably out of the 40+ cars I have had that's te one I always refer to and sticks closely followed by the celica 190.

I'm not totally off of the fabia just not entirely sure either

Oh and as for budget I'd ideally be after something around the same sort of price really

DC2 would be my choice in that case. There's just something about the way old Hondas drive isn't there.

Point to point an Integra is such a quick car. Best handling FWD car I have ever driven. They should be just about in budget depending on the details of your fabia

Well said Jim :)

I'm only wanting 2200 - 2300 for the fabia mate not sure how much dc2's are now days have always fancied one or a ek9 or Jordan Colvin now their tasty would none if you stick with the fabia over these cars thou?

If I didn't need the economy I'd be in an ATR immediately. 2300 will probably get you a decent(ish) ek4, doubt it would get you a decent Jordan. No chance with an ek9/dc2.

A nice DC2 is knocking on 6k + my mates just paid 9k for an immaculate one there not cheap but they hold their value

Depends. My friend bought a nice Jdm 96 spec for £4k. A nice ek9 would be about 6k though.

That was off pistonheads. Avoiding forum tax people seem to add on.

Yeah 98specs are a good 7k+ for a nice one.

thought about a eg6 vti?, although finding a non rotten one seems to be hard work these days.

Ok so I'm looking around the 2.5k mark as the fabia has gone :|

Not so sure iv made the right decision but oh we'll open to all suggestions as ATM in my head I feel I have civic ep3 - glanza - scooby??

Can get a high miler pre face lift EP3 for that but i dont know about the condition, as for a Glanza stay well away from one for that price unless you fancy taking on a minor project or one that needs a couple of simple things doing.

I do love the Glanza though they have a charm about them.

Have you thought of other options? GT4's go for around that price, can get a decent one for 3k.

End of the day you have to take a gamble sometimes mate! might lead to something good, might be the worst choice ever.

As long as you buy a nice fairly standard glanza it'll be reliable like all toyotas. the 1.3 turbo engine does pack a punch especially with little weight (135bhp standard)

Although for that money you could get a new, more comfortable car.

See iv had quite a few fords and really liked them fairly comfortable to drive and all been alright lol vauxhalls on the other hand have been a bit of a hit and miss and I can't really think of any other cars.

I just don't wanna keep buying them and getting rid of them. Our other cars a 520d m sport and don't think it's helping as makes the other cars feel quite crashy Etc

what do you guys think of a colt czt??

I like the colts, a bit soft looking but then no one expects the 1.5 turbo charged engine packing 150bhp standard.

My mate has one with about 190bhp and it does fly.
