With the car on idle you can hear the cam pinging which looks like wear,only had the car 7 months its been well serviced 86000 miles its not loud but you can still hear which is not good the car has not been abused while I have had it.What I think I would say needs replaced the camshaft,bearings,hydraulics got a price to have it done £450 ouch I don't know how long the car will drive ok its not loud like I say and drives fine
