Given that you didn't get the info you wanted on the models on offer and the fact it's missing creature comforts you're used to I wouldn't say that's pedantic at all :)

After all, you shouldn't buy a car just because it's a cheap deal, it has to be right for you and your needs IMO

That's why I went for an Elegance and added a fair bit of kit. :)

If you can't get what you want, it's not worth it.

Yes, it's not expensive compared to other cars... but it's still a lot of money for something that doesn't do what you want.

True, true.. I was very lucky that the Rapid I found was pretty much bang on the spec I would have wanted!

Its a no from me. Absolutely great offer but just didnt put ticks in all the places id have liked tbh ie if they'd have been up for a little more money as Elegance spec cars Id have been more interested as Id have the armrests and steering wheel controls ive become really used to on the car it would be replacing. The Candy White 1.2tsi that I was asking them about werent Greentecs (to get the £30 tax) and two different sales guys told me two different engine specs (86ps and 105ps) so it was still unclear and I never got the call back yesterday to clarify. I can totally appreciate that Im coming across quite pedantic given the fantastic offer price but these are the reasons I didnt bite. I have two enjoyable cars right now so Im in no rush to change. Hopefully someone on here managed to snap one up? :)

Yeah, it is a bit of a shame there were no Elegance on the offer.

They'll be an excellent deal for someone though. Even cheaper than I paid for my SE ex-demo, although mine came with a lot of options so still happy with the deal I got.

my god Capitol look like a good dealer this is dirt cheap and its a 13 plate!

and it is identical to mine

We have an S pool car at work and everybody universally agrees that it is an absolutely 'Superb' (pun probably not intended) car. I've had the priveledge of sitting in the rear of it once and it was limousine-like although I was nodding off most of the time.

oh yeah good cars the one piced is identical to mine except mine is not greenline just normal 1.6 TDI, and yes the space in the back is mindboggling and for the price is brill, i use mine as a taxi and the compliments you get over the octavia taxis is unreal and one of the local firms to me just bought a 3 superbs and 5 rapids, onwards and upwards for skoda

It's a lot more car for the money.

Bang for the buck -the Rapid is a corker at the moment. The Citigo is a cracking little car but there are not any amazing discounts available as far as I know

Yep. I was seriously looking at them at one stage. The boot capacity (in litres) according to Parkers was only something like 10 shy of what I had in my Fabia I, which was often "a little bit too small" but tolerable... Then I went in to a show room and opened a Citigo's boot  :o I can only assume Parkers have the figures wrong in their reviews or something.

I think the figure is correct, it's just that it is very deep rather than long.

The Rapid's boot is HUGE though -we've had our Citigo for a little over a year now and it's definitely not as big a boot as the Fabia hatch but manageable.

Another thing about the Citigo is that the PID adds a lot of functionality that would add quite a bit to the price of a base spec Rapid.

True, it's why I bought it :) Granted not everybody has a need for such a cavernous boot. If I never had need for the boot space then I almost certainly would have ordered a Citigo (probably the Citigo Sport). Originally I was looking at Mk2 Octavias and had my sights set on a second hand 1.9 TDI for a long time.
