just found on ebay

Featured Replies

I have just spoken to the real Autotrader seller and car owner..

He is now aware for the first time of the Scammer on Ebay.

EDIT<

off Ebay now

I reported it to ebay a few hours ago, letting them know that this was possibly a scam. I also asked the seller a question and linked him to the genuine Autotrader ad :D

good effort guys, scam taken off :)

Scam rumbled then....Not hard to spot on this occasion either!!

It had the Decals on it originally so a vRS S2000, but these have been removed.

(no Numbers on a plate 0-20 UK & no Certificates with them,

so anyone would buy a non Decal one as a vRS and on Condition of that vehicle surely, hardly worth a premium.)

I had a feeling it was, as I've just noticed it's de-badged at the back.  Although, unless it's stated in the logbook, it could be easily done with a normal Green & White Fabia.

It has been done by dealers on plenty of vRS.

Similar but on different colour cars.

When i was looking for a car a year or so ago, there were loads of ads like this on eBay. They always seem to advertise popular carrs with stupidly low prices - maybe we vRS owners should feel honoured they chose a Fabia......!

I once contacted an add a friend had found on Auto Trader. It was for an Audi A3 near new for the silly price of just under £6k. I received a reply from a young lady 'Alicia' who told me the car was originally in Oxford but that she had since moved to Africa to live with he partner and no longer needed the car which was now in Africa.

To cut a long story' the car would be securely shipped to the UK in a container and once in the UK a courier would call with all the paperwork. Once the paperwork had been viewed payment had to be made to the courier and the car could be collected. The conversation ended there. I suppose some people are taken in though??

hopefully with that one being reported, it has saved someone losing a lot of money. I'm glad I were looking for bits for my car, now (shame i didnt find anything for that though)
