Our Polish IT guy sent these photos to us while he was back home on holiday a while back ... parked outside some random supermarket in his hometown.

That's lovely! Saw loads of vintage ones when I was last in Berlin, around the time of the Skoda 100 year anniversary. In the VW museum place they have in the city centre. Will dig out some photos.

That's what I thought, but the badge looked different.

It's the correct Octavia shape though.

Ah ok ... Kind of hard to find photos of others on Google images, probably due to Skoda calling one of the trim levels "classic" for quite a while :( (Edit: searching for 1959 Skoda Octavia does the trick  )

You really could - top up - your finances hiring that out as a wedding car it is STUNNING    .

 

As you have the trailer as well the miles can be kept down on it. 

 

My eldest son had a 1930's Paris taxi with picnic basket for a boot booked as a wedding car, the package came with the driver in a chauffeur suit & champagne in the basket, & he would trailer the car to the wedding & use it to take bride from house to church/ registry the with groom to reception. Unfortunately the car had to be cancelled by the owner due to iillness. So they had to find something else.

So a car with only 22 bhp scares you, but your one with 600+ doesn't? There's something wrong!

 

When you said an old Morris back on the road, I expected to see a Moggy, as I remember you had one, I didn't expect that.

It reminds me of my friends old Morris Isis which was a lovely car, he used it for weddings, though i think it drove you more than you drove it, you were just along for the ride!
