Getting my white monte tech in a couple of weeks, but I believe it comes without the black plastic side protectors down the length of the car body which I'd like to have a I think it improves the look of the car.

Can these be ordered from the dealer and retrofitted? If so, is it a DIY job or a dealer job to do so?

Yes they can easy to fit with instructions

As skoda1982 says, easy to do and they line up with the crease line in the door. Did mine in about ten minutes.

Tell the dealer you want them and they will fit them free of charge usually (you may have to pay for the protectors but labour may be free). All my Skoda's have them and I have been given them free of charge. They have been fitted for free too. Cost is only about £35 tops for the protectors.

hi I had the them fitted to my monte by the dealers free so they then came under the dealer warranty cover (if sticky every peels highly unlikely but covered ) dealers idea hope this helps
