Reverse dip not working after service?

Featured Replies

Hi there

I've just got my Superb back after its service and I'm told they have done some system updates. Great, but I've been out in it this morning and my reverse dip function isn't working. I've tried deselecting and reselecting it on the computer then saving, nothing. I've made sure the mirror selector is at 'L'. Does anyone have any ideas how I can fix this?

Have you tried setting it up as you originally did using reverse gear etc?

I've never actually had to do this as it was already set up when I got the car. Can't find instructions in manual, how is it done?

From the manual:

Storing exterior mirror setting for reversing

– Switch on the ignition.

– Turn the exterior mirror control to position L

– Engage reverse gear.

– Move the left exterior mirror into the desired position

– Take the vehicle out of gear. The set position of the exterior mirror is stored.

If you get know where just with the above try position R, though Devon wander is most likely right the manual uses the set up on the mirrors for left hand drive cars if I remember correctly.

You do, but it's always the nearside mirror that dips, so I edited it for Northamptonshire.
