One hopes that once one has picked-up their new Yeti, ones input into Briskoda Yeti forum does not diminish?

One may be too busy pampering ones new yeti with snowfoam and qd spray  :giggle:

One is correct, in assuming post do not diminish.

In fact, ones posts tend to INCREASE :D

I thought it was only us baldies that did  that!

I'm thinking if this is an opportunity for a mini meet.

There are quite a few owners around here, and purchasers from Rainworth including myself.

Any thoughts?

Have you asked the dealer to put a large yellow ribbon round it?

Yes that could work. Dont know my actual collection day yet (hoping for fri/sat), but I will be in the area until thur/fri 19th

I dont want to turn up at a yeti meet with a juke  :whew:

Its a bit quiet in here so I thought I'd start a thread on my pending road trip to collect my new monster.

I can hear the collective sighs of relief from here ....'maybe she will give us peace now'  :giggle:

No more interrogation of newbies to determine how long theirs took from order - build - emden - grimbsy etc etc

No more ship watching.

No more photoshopping weird and not so wonderful bits onto different coloured yetis.

I'll be setting off on wednesday, heading to peak district area to hopefully do some photography and should collect the car a few days later. I'll try to update the thread with some 'yeti in nice location' images. I'll try not to drive like a tourist, slowing down in the middle of the road to take pics of sheep (like they do up here).

I hear there's a heatwave in Englandshire so must pack the bottle of factor 30 that's been gathering dust in the drawer since my last trip to Lanzarote.

Sunglasses....check

Factor 30.......check

Yeti coolbox...check

Car mats........check

Boot mat........check

Passport.........check

Currency........check

Have I forgotten to pack anything?

Passport ?

Currenency ?

I know its in the pipeline but don't think its happened quite yet. :giggle:

But a phrase book might come in handy .

Have a good trip down and enjoy your holiday and new Yeti obviously.

Noooo..... Just need to remove one of the rear seats

Most English shops won't take Scottish bank notes now, never mind IF it ever happens.

Well I'm free on those days......

Kind of reminds me of buying in car in Germany.

Our relatives chose the option of rather than paying for delivery to the local dealer of their Touareg 3.0 TDI they got the train down and had a day out to collect from the factory where they were had a little presentation ceremony of their car and had a picture taken of the happy day! Hehe.

Phil

With this weather i assume you'll need factor 50.

Do you get sunshine in Scotland? :giggle:

Bikini?

Touareg, along with the CC and Phaetons that were built there could be picked up from the VW glass factory in Dresden in a grand unveiling ceremony with covers being removed and lights and music, a true occasion.

Perhaps we should petition Marie's dealers to give a similar experience on hand over(grand unveiling) in honour of her service to this forum whilst waiting!
