Few mods :) welcome to the land of the low!

Featured Replies

Done a few mods and gave the car a VERY quick (much to quick by my usual standards) wash. Lowered on coilies (told the mechanic i didn't want it too low but he decided otherwise i guess lol. the rear im happy with front needs to come up. Will get it done on friday when it goes back to get a check up) Tinted headlamps and wrapped the grill.Still need to...Paint grill matt black (carbon wrap hasn't taken properly) tint the fogs and drl's. Fogs are going yellow and the drls just blacked like the headlights. I have one of the new style badge on the rear done matt black still to fit. I'm going to rub down the vrs badges and matt black paint them leaving the green and red. Getting very light tints on the windows and wind deflectors fitted.

Other plans in consideration are - Removal of vrs spoiler and fitting a sport style lip one. Tinting the rear lights, just don't know what to do with these. Should I tint the white part n leave the red as standard or just do the whole lamp units? I don't know  :wall:

Anyways rate or slate away folks

Also...i'm a terrible photographer sorry  :bandit:

good work, but yep, too low at the front and those wheels need some spacers to fill the arches a little more I think!
Headlight tints look good, got some of it here to fit to mine and never done it, did you do yours yourself mate?

Lol i lowered mine yesterday and i can hardly tell,i think you got more for your money ;)

Thats UBER low! Looks smart,  I agree with the spacers tip! :)

Cheers Daz, yep defo needs to come up it will be almost undriveable that low haha. I used the flyeye kit and done it myself in the living room, dead easy. Great stuff imo and love the look! Did consider spacers but dont want any rubbing issues!

Dakar i just purchased a cheap JOM kit as i'm not sure if it will even last long lowered or if i'll quickly get annoyed of it. If i do manage to get used to creeping over speed bumbs etc again i'll go for a more upmarket kit.

Meant to say, got the coilies from DPM performance, great company! Fast delivery and kept upto date throughout the process.

Cheers for the pics guys, cars are lookin nice! Love those wheels lexxor what are they?

Alberg the tint spray defo seems to do the job doesnt it :)

Il get an up close picture of the fly eye for you mate

Yellow fogs would look nice but then again I say that about any black car.

Looks good - gunmetal/anthracite wheels would look very good against the black IMHO.

I hope the yellow fogs will suit, I reckon it will be one of the nicer little details.

Rob iv been thinking of anthracite or maybe that shadow chrome colour for the wheels but quite like the silver on black contrast the now

Hi Iain,

Your cars looking pretty nice, here's a few pics of mine if you want to know what anthracite wheels, wind deflectors and the clear bit of the rear lights tinted will look like.

Not the best pictures but will give you an idea.

How did you tint just the clear bit?

I used this spray (rear refletores and 3º stop also done) you have to be even when aplying. The more you pass the darker it gets. I passed twice in each spot only. 3 passes it becomes darker.

This will dry in 15 minutes or soo. After done to your like, pass some polish on them.

Used tape, we here call it paper tape  (yellow tape same type what painters use to isolate)

I used laminx, applied to the clear part plus an extra 10mm or so on to the red part, using a craft knife trimmed to size. There is a very slight groove between the clear and red parts, used this to guide the knife and peeled the film off the red part.

Iv ordered the tint spray, hopefully be her by Friday and have the paint and other required bits.n Bob's for doin the grill and badges so will post a few more pictures up when I get that all done, hopefully Friday :)

You would better using plastidip on the front grille it will last longer

Fly Eyes from a distance looks OK, not so good when you're close up to it from my experience  :(

I echo what Brimmer says, also they give off a weird beam on the left hand edge.

Heard bad stuff bout that plasti dip Allan :s must be a bit of a freak but I like the look of the flyeyes up close and far away haha

Plastidip is fine i have done my brothers grille with it. its flexible and stones wont chip it like they would paint.

Is that plasty dip easy to use? My friend and I were thinking about getting a plasti dip compressor between us?

MK1 Fabia VRS - Black Magic - KW Coilovers - 17" Spyders - Seat Splitter - Full Black Leather - AmD Remap

If the reg ends in FKP it's me lol. It probably was me i was out doing some quotes for work .i have my chrome surround on my vrs again as I'm re painting my blue one. Yeah my bro gets about its not hard to miss either lol , dip is really easy to use I just used the rattle cans and if you make a mess of it you can peel it back off it leaves a Matt finish and if you want it glossy or a metallic finish you just go over it with the enhancer
