Evening peeps,

 

Now the car I bought was an ex company car....not the most perfect condition (reason for clutch and engine replacement by Skoda)....but was cheaper than most Vrs 2010 petrols......Now i knew i would have a little bit of work to do on it but again not much and I have been proved correct.....

So far I've done a polish of the chrome exhaust ends, the pedals, door sill plates and am currently t-cut'ing any marks or blemishes on the body work.(again very small amount)...Panel by panel I might add. Here's a question though.....I am sure that not matter what the plastics will never be perfect but I want to make the best out of something.....so I am looking for advice on how to make the scratched look better or any polish / cleaning product that will help.....most of the interior is fine apart from a couple of plastics that are annoying me....

Heat gun. Be careful though and don't heat it to much but the heat will make the smaller / medium marks dissapear in a lot of cases

Hmmnn.. 2010 white estate, ex-company car, new engine and clutch, scratched plastics on the interior. Sounds like my old car

Grrrrrrr hope not......  .........Just saw your blog.....your safe......the engine was replaced this year and looks like you got rid of your in 2012.....but then again.....

Depending on the parts marked it might be easier to replace. Some folk have also vinyl wrapped some of the interior trim.

Laughed when I saw that, bet your heart sank for a moment reading it, until you worked out it was another motor.

There is that choice and i have been looking at scrapped or crashed vehicles.....there isn't that many and the ones ive come across have normally been hatchback.....either way i am keeping a good eye on a few ideas.....

Depends on what parts are scratched. Replacement interior parts can be relatively cheap, even from a main dealer. For example, the driver's door pull handle is about £20-£25, and the B-pillar trim is about £12.
