Featured Replies

Can't sleep to excited picking up my hybrid pd130 in the morning :)

The turbo itself or fitted to the car? :)

The turbo it's self and my cars already striped so I can fit as soon as I'm home :)

Nice one mate :) how's doing the hybrid ing for you?

Don't forget the remap to match the turbo, otherwise performance will be down on standard.

Why would performance be down it will surely just stay the same?

It won't stay the same. Personally, I think he might pick up a few BHP. Though if he canes it, he might get the odd CEL for boost requested. Car needs to be mapped to make the most of the turbo and allow use of full throttle with greater confidence that it won't hiccup, CEL or explode.

Hate the thread title BTW.... Reads like the title of a teenage chicklit novel!

Vindaloo I can't help myself :) on way to garage, and the bloke who's doing it worked for AET turbo's for ten years and now does his own side line! Of hybrids don't worry about the map will be on the rollers very soon il keep you posted on figures should be a good result for what it is

Run my hybrid for about 6000 miles now with out it being mapped in. No issues atall no lights no, hick ups and no explosions. Definitely no loss of power as stated before.

Does it just feel the same but carry the boost up the rpm better :)

Feels exactly the same to be honest to when it was just mapped. I have a dyno print out of before my old one went bang still meaning to do another before its mapped in for comparison.

Cool

Would be interesting to see what hybrid are you running

My car was mapped i put a hybrid on it without mapping it again and it was horrid boost was never the same... Then you get a stage two map and its all smiles and smoke!

changed my hybrid pd130 to hybrid pd150

The map for the hybrid pd130 produced only 186bhp on the pd150 hybrid (was originally 208bhp on hybrid pd130) - so lost power.

had it remapped - produced 220bhp and the power which tailed off at 3,800rpm, carries on to 4500rpm

I had a hybrid pd150 and it always kept a smile on my face :) have her hell for about 8k and no problems,

J.E

I dyno'd a hybrid PD150 turbo on stock PD130 mapping.  Bang on 150bhp.  I didn't have a stock dyno to compare though as the engine & turbo were all brand new in my car.

220bhp though once I got it mapped.  :D
