Skoda Octavia VRS Estate MK1. 2003

Featured Replies

I am selling my much loved mk1 Octavia VRS estate in Black.

It has approx. 104000 miles but will rise as I am using it daily.

It had cambelt at 96000 miles. Just recently had the recall so is running on 4 new coil packs.

Interior is very tidy (although I need to hoover it).

Exterior has some age related bumps and scrapes. Nothing to major.

Tyres are good condition but vary in make.

It pulls brilliantly through all the gears and is a really good fun car.

I am only selling as I fancy something a little smaller now as my daughter is growing up and I don't need to take her pram etc everywhere.

History of the car is pretty good.

Price wise I am after £2200 ono.

Car is based near Brighton. Any viewing welcome.

I forgot to say that it has air con that works beautifully.

All electric windows work fine.

A bit of trim has come off around the boot latch. It hasn't really bothered me so I just left it.

And the front bumper is probably the worst bit of paint work where it has had a bit of a poor paint job, but only visible on close inspection.

Car is totally standard. Contact number 07803821164.

Can you tell I hate selling cars and that I'm totally rubbish at it?

Make me an offer people.

Interested in some kind of swap for a Mk1 Fabia vRS?

Sorry, having second thoughts now...

  • Author

Quinten, was it you that text this morning?

Hi mate, it wasn't me I'm afraid.

I'm sort of in two minds...  on one hand I want to get myself into lightweight motoring (caterham, etc) which would require me to change the fabia for a family saloon, and change the M5 for a kit car, but on the other hand...  better the devil you know ;)

Hypothetically speaking, would you consider such a swap?

  • Author

Yeah, I would. I'd also swap for a cater ham. My favourite car. Have you ever driven one?

Hi mate,

Getting myself more and more informed about caterfields and the more I'm reading, the more I want to :D

Anyway, to cut a long story short, are you going to the meet on the 28th?  I know it's a bit of a trek for you (not so much for me coming from NN5), but it would offer a good opportunity to meet up and chat about it...

Just done a turbo swap on this. I went a bit quiet about it as I didn't want to sell it if something wasn't right with it. It now runs better than ever.

I would be willing to swap for a diesel. Make me an offer!

Hello, it's me again ;)

Can you explain a bit more about this? Why replace it? Who replaced it? New part or recon or used? Receipts?

  • Author

I replaced it with a second hand turbo. A local garage did it for me.

  • Author

The old turbo started smoking. I also changed the pick up, new oil and filter. Air filter and new long life plugs. She runs sweet as a nut. Just not the cleanest car.

£1800 will take her away now.

Hi mate

Do you still have this?

What mileage is she on now?

  • Author

Hi.

Yes I still have her. She is on about 107000 miles I believe. I would be willing to take an offer on her as I really need a Diesel as I am changing jobs soon. 07803821164

I sent you another PM about a deal against my Cupra.  I take it you weren't keen?

  • Author

Truth is I just bought a house and can't afford to put any in now. Sorry.

No bother. GLWTS!

Someone make me an offer on this!
