DRL in the foglights

Featured Replies

Just a little tip, the dealer Can code your cars so you Can get DRL in your Foglights instead of your normal lights. This only for cars without leds and Xenon. Just ask you dealer the should do this for free.

but does the fog lights have different bulbs for DRLs

It is illegal in the UK to have fog lights on when not required due to visability

Enough morons leave their rear fog lights on.... I think the law states that front / rear fog lights should only be used when the visibility is below 50 metres - I stand to be corrected on that though.......

Exactly

I believe in all countries this rule applies. Here in Romania too.

That's pic looks like the 2nd bulb is there for the cornering fogs, so I would suggest that's only possible with that option.

Still not sure how its possible though, as technically the light is built into the fog lights, and they are not allowed to be on unless poor visibility.

The DRL's on non-xenon equipped MkIII Octavia's are built into the main headlight cluster.

The DRL function is performed by the main beam bulb at reduced intensity...

I'm not sure why you'd want to use the fog lights instead, although the option to use the front fogs (again at reduced intensity) is possible on the MkII Octavia.

Because it looks better, I hate when all cars looks identical, i want my car to stick out from the rest. So i make my own look on the car with lowering, bigger wheels, different front grill and spoiler. and a new kind of carwrap with a  effect that still makes you see the real color, but with a matte silver effect.
