Just ordered a Yeti 2.0 TDi DPF DSG Elegance 4x4

Featured Replies

Just ordered the above in Black Magic Pearl Effect, with a folding front passenger seat for delivery end September beginning October,

suprised to find that it doesn't come with the Amundsen Sat Nav only the Bolero and it can't be ordered as an option,

it's available on the SE+ but the SE+ cannot be ordered with the folding front seat, the latest brochure

states on page 21 Standard Equipment (over SE+) so I assumed that the Elegance had everthing the the

SE+ had plus the standard Elegance equipment. In fact page 21 doesn't state what radio the Elegance has.

To have a Sat Nav/Dab fitted means ordering the Columbus unit at a cost of £1630.00, ouch...

There was a recent thread on the integrated Sat-Nav just recently

http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/281702-columbus-satnav-map-updates-how-much/

When you see what seems to be the dealer price of updating the maps you might be glad you didn't specify it. And on a practical level, when  a Tom Tom or similar gives up the ghost it's £100 or so for a functional replacement that has probably improved noticeably from its two year old predecessor. Once you are out of the warranty if the integrated Sat Nav goes wrong - almost certainly serious money (and the car off the road whilst it's in with the garage being fixed)..

As the old Chinese proverb says "Be careful what you wish for".

What power/size engine, please?

What power/size engine, please?

Title says 2.0 but could be either the 170 or the 140 with the diesel DSG.

Just querying whether it should have had the Sat Nav as I would have thought that as you move up the range of Yeti's the options/toys would improve

Thanks for your replies

The Columbus is the only sat nav option as you know. Skoda is not very consistent as the Superb came with it in the Elegance model......

As toys go I do like the columbus unit.

Fishyhook, may be worth checking with your dealer about the Amundsen Sat Nav as this was released around Feb time for those (like yourself) you did not want to pay £1,600 + for the Columbus.

For some reason this is not mentioned in the brochure, I have checked our updates system and it does not state that it has since been withdrawn.

Give them a buzz, at £535 it may be worth adding. If I have missed something with regards to the unit being withdrawn then I will apologize now.

Hope that helps, good luck and enjoy the SM when it arrives.

Lee, thanks for the reply, I have had a look at the configurator on the Skoda UK website and it does list the Amundsen Sat Nav with DAB

I'll ring the dealer on Monday and speak to them.

Quite agree. I was surprised my Yeti did not have the integrated Sat Nav. However, my £100 TomTom does the job

but not as convenient to say the least. Can't beat the Aussie voice though, it's hilarious!

Our Yeti is fitted with Amundsen Sat Nav and DAB.

My 2011 Yeti came with the Amundsen Sat Nav. The car was a demo model & the dealer told me that there were no Bolero units available at the time this one was built.

My  luck, I suppose, as it is a great unit, apart from the costs of the updates.

Fishyhooky, enjoy your 140 DSG, I think you will   I know I do

I can't see how adding a Columbus to an Elegance makes any sense when you can have an L&K with that AND more (heated screen, sunroof and Park Assist) for very few pennies more...

That's why I went for the L&K

+1

Only if you don't want the sunroof..... or want a car in red. ;)
