Well tomorrow the octy is going into the garage to have the following fitted

Lightened and balanced g60 flywheel around 7kg

Sachs vr6 clutch kit.

Clutch has been slipping and bite is getting high so hopefully will sort it.

let us know how it feels and sounds after... apparently you get more gearbox chatter with a lightened flywheel I pressume that means noise

Hi, one question, this Sachs vr6 clutch kit, is it for 2.8 or 2.9, or they are the same? Do you maybe have part numbers? I am asking since I am going on the same conversion, got ABF flywheel, but I am searching for part number for clutch. Tnx

Just been to collect the car. Haven't really had chance to test it only driving it hone but the pedal is very light and pick up is a lot better.

There's no chatter at all. Think it might be more common on the diesels.

I got the clutch from carpartsforless. Just selected the 2.8 golf mk3.

So...still running well?
