blown turbo

Featured Replies

as above, my turbo's gone pop on my fabia vrs, been lookin at my options etc,

rang darkside developments up, had a word with them, they suggested a PD160 turbo which will bolt straight on, also ordered a Seat FMIC and pipework to be fitted at same time

my cars gettin collected tomorrow and will be gone for a few days really cant wait to get my car sorted.

any suggestions of what else to get or look out for going wrong etc once fitted?

cheers

no one?

I take it you'll be mapping it too? So run around 190bhp, make sure it's a smooth torque limited map unless you're going to put a uprated clutch in. I can see from your sig you have brakes and suspension mods done so should be all good aside from the clutch.

Had all work done. 202bhp and limited torque to 355lb. Standard clutch

Hows the clutch holding out mate? thats exactly what im after,

And how much you pay alk in if u dont mind me asking lol :p

Clutch is sweet so far. Touch wood lol paid 650 for turbo. 550 for fmic n pipes. 250 for live map. Then fittin n Vat on top. £2k roughly. A lot of money but it pulls like a train

Do you have uprated clutch? 355lb is high for standard one if not.

He's got a standard clutch.

Although are the Sach clutches uprated as im sure I've seen people recommend them on here before!

If so what torque/bhp are they rated to

I'd imagine it's just a healthy stock clutch with good smooth mapping
