Elegance spec change

Featured Replies

I have boarding spots on my standard spec.

But I think you only get the boarding spots if you order the optional electric seats / memory mirror combo.

Cant imagine them removing boarding/puddle spots!

I agree that it's confusing. I've got 2 brochures from different dealers. One April & one June. Just downloaded the one from the website & you're right, it's the April one.

ive got March brochure thats what ive ordered from elegance spec says front ass from June which we all no is incorrect.folding mirrors and net in boot

Been looking a different specs over the past week or two and I am pretty sure the Front Assist appeared on the configurator when they updated for the vRs.

Now the April brochure is back does this mean they will all now come with the Chrome(!). I noticed they obviously photo-shopped these out in the June one.

To be honest, as a new person to the brand looking to spend £20K plus, its not very impressive. Sudden changes in specification on what seems a weekly basis, head office not really sure whats going on, omissions of simple options (like the 15EUR interior light package) and the whole debacle with the chrome pack which seems to be ok in some countries and unavailable in others.

At this rate I'm very tempted to hold off a few months and see what the new Golf estate is like. Hopefully by then Skoda will have sorted it all out so can make an apples for apples comparison.

Having been through the farce that was the Rapid release, also with regular spec changes, it does seem that the best thing to be is not in a rush.

If I had got my Rapid one month earlier I'd have been missing the rear electric window switches on the driver's door!

Giving it four to six months means the spec will settle and you'll get what you should.

Skoda might actually have a set of details of exactly what the car does come with by then too! :)
