WELL DONE Hairball, EXCELLENT post and worthy of much notoriety.

Was he really whispering though?

I can imagine him shouting orders like a sergeant major  :giggle:

Hand signals!!   He was very persuasive in a none aggressive manner, almost like Spielberg was directing the event   as you can see by the photo evidence.

Hand signals.....was he like this?   :finger:  :wait:  :peek:

This was Johann plan....

It changed slightly on the day.......

Wish I could be there with you all, but then again I still don't have my Yeti and gone a holiday trip to Italy-Austria(just passing through this time)-Switzerland. Great time but I have to say that I've seen less than 5 Yetis on the road while in Italy for 7 days (Cortina, Milano, Bologna) and one of those had Chech plates so it doesnt count lol! Luckily someone (from the staff I guess) in Cortina camp where we stayed, had one parked outside everyday :) (Cappuccino Beige with Spitzberg alloys and black fabric interior in case he/she is a member here and reads this). Maybe I was unlucky or the places I've gone were anti-Yeti? :P On the contrary Austria had many of them beautiful beasts rolling around their highways and some less in Swiss (on my way from Austria to Interlaken). Mind you, we chose mostly the scenic route (SS and SP in Italy) rather than autostrada. If the event gets to be annual, hopefully next year when I'll have my lil beasty princess I will try to make it there to you fine people and have a joy at great british country side too :) (OK OK I admit, pubs too ... lol)

Good post Hairball, I enjoyed the day. Yes Johann is the man yeti whisperer.

Thanks for putting up your snaps Hairball, mine's in amongst that herd. What amazed me was that all bar two of them were 4x4's, rare as hens teeth out on the road. Thanks to Johann for herding us about, shame about the white one that did'nt want to come out to play.

I see Bobdog was at the meet, found this pic of his car in the national meet mega picture thread

....shame about the white one that didn't want to come out to play.

Was someone shy or are they kicking themselves for not hearing the Yeti call?

The Tibetan Shroud....?

Awh...  that is a brilliant post Hairball.   :giggle:   And moi a Yeti Whisperer.  Not quite.

And MarieK:  a sergeant major I wasn't either.  (I hope).

As to my drawing:  it is clear the Yetis in the Y are DOUBLE in size to the Yetis in the E, T and I - and I'm an architect supposed to be able to draw to scale! Hence the Y needed that extra lone white Yeti that never made it.     And the green Yeti as the dot on the i also did not work.  Hence he parked between what was marked on the map as the two black Yetis with the Bs in them. Though they ended up flanking the Duracel as it happened.

I'm quite sure you weren't Johann.

It was a joke, hence the  :giggle:

It was rather clever to think of that formation, I like the idea

To me, to you, to me.... :giggle:

And moi a Yeti Whisperer.  Not quite.

Some of us may disagree. :)

It was rather clever to think of that formation, I like the idea

I only drew the plan.  Someone else suggested we do it - and with so many new faces on the day, I can't remember who it was apologies.

Hats off to johann, looks to me like he did a super job...... :sun:

The formation was my idea. I think it sort of went , after some counting on fingers and toes, "we can spell out Yeti on the slope". This was met with enthusiasm, much to my surprise, and a plan formulated in only minutes.

I was then

No 2 in the return to civilisation from the frozen north convoy.

I see elsewhere that there are a few non-Yetiits who have taken umbrage about the "formation". I'm sure they could have spelt out another model name if they had wanted. :whew:

Or had the initiative? Just envious of the idea perhaps?

They concluded as they always knew at this time that being the Mega Meet the young cub would be protected by the 'flock' of Fabia, the 'Symposium' of Superb, the 'Oracle' of Octavia, the 'Rapport' of Rapide and the Citigo 'Collective'. I was a drill all along.

Not forgetting of course The Renegade Roomster...........B)
