Drive the deal = £24,835 with 0% PCP

Pretty good I reckon.. 12-13 weeks countdown!

Yes mate, well done! How come the 0% deal was offered with discount?

If my Mathis serves me correct, that's 6.6% AND 0%?! I so that's great, I'll be ordering a petrol hatch from them sooner or later at those figures!

jsut had a look on the DTD website, and it says that they will NOT be offering 0%,

'Unfortunately, we are unable to offer 0% APR Representative finance in conjunction with the level of the discount we are currently quoting on our website'

Taking that sentence at face value, it only suggests that they won't be doing 0% with the discount advertised, it says nothing about (nor does it exclude the possibility of) lower rates of discount AND 0%

exactly.

I wish my dealer would have been bought out a few weeks earlier, as I would then not have had the feel of loyalty and could have saved a lot more money.

But was any PX done on this deal?

Correcto... Not the full discount. Which is usually around 13-14% - So this gives them a bit of margin and me a decent discount. :-)

Nope. I will sell my Superb privately after paying the final payment on the PCP.

Drive the Deal dont do part ex I believe. Also beware you could be waiting a long time with DTD - the discounts they offer are great BUT they have to find a dealership willing to sell for that price. DTD quoted me 12% discount on the VRS estate as soon as it launched. When I searched the net, people getting these kind of discounts have had to wait a long long time for their cars. In the end I opted to go straight to my local dealers and beat an excellent bargain by myself for delivery in mid/end september

Nope. They already have a dealer in place. It's the same as if I walked in off the street. Quoted the same lead time as my local dealer. I used them for my Superb and saved about £3.5K.. total no-brainer.

@jakeyc, where is the dealer? Do you have to travel far for collection? I'm guessing you'll have to visit them at least once to sign paperwork or can you do it via the post?

Ahh thats good then :)

The people I know who have gone through DTD havent bought skodas (more fool them!) so I dont know if the issue over time was with the make or DTD

Unless it's changed, the DTD dealer is in the Midlands.

Yes Midlands somewhere. Didn't have to visit when I got my wifes car from Carfile. All paperwork was sent in the post and they delivered the car. Not sure about this one. I may have to collect, but no great shakes - I fully expect it to be a simple process.

Happy for you pal, enjoy the new car!

I've now got a yardstick to take to other dealers too, so thanks for that :)

been to see 2 dealers and bugger all wiggle room on the list price from both so far. Left the ball in their court but neither seemed to be budging at all.

Just hope you don't get the delays I'm getting

I'm not too worried about delays to be honest. I have a nice Superb :-) I waited 5 months for that bugger... It will be ready when it's ready...

Some are like that, might be worth going a bit further afield? I went to the 3 nearest to me but had also lined up another one if neither of them wanted to play ball with me lol. My dealer and manager were nearly crying when I signed hahaha next to no profit in it for them lols

@jakeyc, I'm guessing you will still get the 3 year service plan too? Are these just vouchers to give to any dealer you chose or will you have to return to the supplying dealer for service?

Yes, get this too...

Apparently it is on the Skoda system that the dealers access, so wherever you take it you tell them your on free servicing & they confirm via the web, so you can take it to any dealer - unless someone with the package knows differently. At least that is what my dealer told me.

I bought my vRS Octavia from DTD and they had 2 Skoda dealers lined up, one in B'ham and Rainworth Skoda in Nottingham where I got it. I had to trade my 2006 model in eventually but they still accomodated the DTD price and also provided cheap finance through Skoda.

The new model is too new yet to get decent discounts, maybe next year before things starts moving.
